Lettres d'Israël

MFA final project, june 2020

This series of posters, part of my MFA final project, aims to visually enrich our streets with the meeting of both the latin and hebrew alphabets; the latter being little present around us and that one tends to unconsciously attach to its religious heritage and traditional shapes. Both scripts confront each other through poem extracts for the israeli literature festival in Paris, Lettres d'Israël, engaging the audience in figuring out what they are looking at, and allowing them to compare similar shapes and deconstruct what they are facing. A Hebrew version of my font Strejk was designed for the informative elements, with help from Daniel Grumer.
